Rated 4 out of 5 by Irish Control Cover Stopper
I've had the Evolution series product for about 3 years and recently the rubber cover control stopper doesn't seem to fit into the sink drain to activate the garbage disposal. I've sent a request to service for a repair and hope they can resolve this matter for me.

I just replacement by Cover Control Insinkerator after 10 years. It worked great and I had no problems so I replaced it with the Evolution cover control plus. The major design change was the base of the cover control stopper was made of plastic and after 6 months of use it cracked and the handle broke off and the base stuck in the sink. I am not a happy camper. The disposal other than the control stopper is a great buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Annalisa Magnetic cover won't fit in after just 2 years
We renovated our house and invested in this disposer for our farm house kitchen sink. With just under 2 years of use, the cover stopper won't fit into the drain hole so it's impossible to start the disposer, and motor is not as quiet as it initially was. We thought it was a quality product so it's highly disappinting. We don't recommend this product since the quality doesn't seem to last.

Rated 2 out of 5 by montvillemom I'm on my 4th Insinkerator Evolution Stopper
I bought and had installed the insinkerator in 2007. The garbage disposal is awesome, the stopper, well, not so much. After about a year, the plastic breaks, metal becomes exposed and rusts and it stops working. Once again, I need to order ANOTHER one, fourth time now, at another 35 dollars. Your design has a major flaw.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jjvc poor magnetic stopper
the magnetic stopper as you can read with other posts disintegrates and the magnets become exposed and rust. This leads to the inability to turn the stopper. The stopper is poorly designed and the cavity in the bottom of the stopper becomes caked with grime and is difficult to clean. would prefer a smooth surface on bottom and top easily cleaned. metal over plastic.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MattB Frustrated.
After "using" this product for about 3 months, I finally came to the realization that I'm choosing not to use it... Not because of anything other than the fact that I can't stand the process of having to remove the dirty baffle every time I want to grind up my waste. I find myself choosing to scape everything into my trash, instead of using the disposal.
In my previous kitchen, I installed a similar style insinkerstor where you didn't have to change the baffle. Why would they change to this design with the filthy extra step?
Insinkerstor is still the best in the market, but they really missed the mark on this product. At the end of the day, I really can't believe that this is the best thing they could have come up with.
Get the traditional designed grinder with the ugly air switch, you'll be happier and will actually use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bev14 This product is very safe as well as efficient.
I had this style disposal which I had to replace because the metal flange rusted and pieces of the metal kept falling into the mechanism and would stop the machine. I like this style because it is much safer and the newer model has a narrower neck which does not allow "big" items to fall into the mechanism. In addition the cover is flatter so that it protrudes less into the sink while resting. The machine itself is extremely quiet and very efficient.
