Rated 5 out of 5 by NHFlyer Quick and easy replacement
This was to replace an older model insinkerator about 9 years old that started leaking. The new model was easy to install and thew new faucet looks great! I wish the faucet was made out of metal though, instead it's chrome over plastic. Probably to save money. But looks good. It's only been a couple weeks so time will tell how long it will last.

This new instant hot is so much better than our old one. It's more stylish and more efficient.

My review is more about insinkerators customer service; rather then the product. My previous instahot had a leak and I needed to replace it. However, it was out of warranty, but when I called the customer service rep, she was so pleasant and understanding and she offered me a great discount, if I ordered the product online.
Way to GO insinkerator! You've earned my business!

Rated 4 out of 5 by BimrJim Excellent customer service
I was offered and certainly took advantage of a generous offer for a replacement.
Changes in design of tank connections require replacement of perfectly functioning faucet.
There is no longer a drain outlet at bottom of tank formerly used to remove sediment. Instructions now say to remove tank and drain by inverting tank. IE no way to flush tank.
This is tantamount to a reinstallation, not for the faint of heart as garbage disposal in some instances will also have to be removed.
What was a 15 min cleaning is now, by my plumbers estimate, over $100.
Might as well wait until it fails again and then replace. "New and Improved?"

Just love having my new instant hot. It is much easier to turn than the one I had just prior to this one. I've had probably 6 of these since the time they first came out and this one is the best yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lenyo The Insinkerator Hot Water Dispenser should have a longer service life.
I have just purchased and installed our third dispenser. The first one lasted from 2003 to 2009 and the second from 2009 to 2013. they both developed leaks requiring their replacement. The third one, however, was offered at a discount. I am hoping that the new one will last longer than the first two.
My Insinkerator Waste Disposals have certainly been very satisfactory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PeterKlatt Nice machine, but . . .
I had previously written a review, after registering a complaint with the Company.
My review summary was "sloppy quality control".
Summarizing my previous review, the hot water dispenser, which was probably the third or fourth one to replace previous ones, is just fine. That is, once you get it installed; it turned out that the infamous 'threaded rod" does not match the threads of the wing nut that comes with it, required a "work around" that would be beyond the capability of most home-owner installers.. Also the compression nut and sleeve for the 1/4" copper supply tube were not included, though the instructions said they were.
I do recommend this unit, especially since my communication with the company they apologized and said that they would remedy this matter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BobThePlumber Works great once installed
We had the same incredibly frustrating experience of the 1/4" compression nut & olive weren't included in the kit. We replace our 7 year old Contour model with this Classic because we could't find the Contour at Lowes or Home Depot except by special order. Despite being a new design the tank fit nicely on the old bracket. It's the inexpensive, but essential compression fitting that wasn't included that forced us to return to the hardware store to get one. Beware: Lowes didn't carry the small symmetrical olive & the nut provided didn't have enough threads to compress their asymmetric one. Once plumbed, the hot water tank worked well, with great flow & a larger reservoir than the past model.
